AN INTRO TO ME

Welcome London Localite

I’ve called London home for the majority of my adult life, eight years and counting! Over the years, I’ve lived in flat shares in Hornsey, Bethnal Green, Camden, Stoke Newington and Brixton. Each area adding to my sense of where’s worth going and what’s worth doing here.

Most of my time is spent trying to stay balanced—combining early morning runs around Victoria Park with late nights in Soho with friends. It’s this mixture that I want to show on London Localite, to give people passing through the best chance of an authentic London experience and to share my favourite places to hang out, with locals and newcomers alike.

WHY I BLOG

The “Why” Behind The Blog

I started this blog because friends were always asking me where to go, what to eat, and what’s actually worth doing in London—and I realised I had a lot to share. This is a city I’ve lived, not just visited so what you’ll find here are honest opinions that come from experience, not algorithms.

I also work a 9–5 job in central London for an interior design studio and don’t get me wrong, I love what I do. But full-time work just isn’t it and I’m sure I’m not alone in feeling that!

So the second reason I started this blog was to work towards a different kind of balance—one where I could split my time between the design studio and writing. The goal? A more flexible life that gives me space to explore more of the city I love, and the places just beyond it too.
